Client’s brief was to complete the renovation of the 2nd floor and attic of a family house after a poor experience with an unnamed construction company. The work included the extension of a hall with its own entrance for a newly established apartment unit. Within the new unit, a reinforced concrete staircase was installed, along with a corridor at the 2nd floor level, where a room with a toilet was added. The construction involved gypsum plasterboard ceilings, gypsum fibreboard partitions from Fermacell (chosen for their advantages), lime-cement plasters with final skim coating, tiling, vinyl flooring, and installation of sanitary fittings and doors. Finally, a contact insulation system with facade was completed.
